Carter Plastics was founded out of a family-owned business that stretches back to the early 1900s. A. B. Carter, whose first job, at age 14, was in one of the many textile plants booming at that time, took his years of valuable experience and started his own company. Hard work and dedication to excellence made his textile business thrive, and it still does today, with a vast international footprint within 44 countries. The hallmark of a long-running, successful business is its determination and ability to listen to the needs of manufacturers around you and to be willing to accept the challenges inherent in answering those needs.
Carter clearly embraced those challenges and, as a result, grew into a superior supplier of spinning solutions for the fiber and yarn manufacturing sectors of the textile industry. Core products include steel and nylon travelers, rings, bobbins, tapes and belts, air splicing and knotting equipment, and laboratory testing equipment.
Branching out into other sectors over the decades, Carter also manufactures equipment and accessories for the carpet, wire and automotive industries. Because experience builds on experience, the need for development of plastic parts bloomed within the extensive problem/solution business, and has culminated in its own significant expertise, 40 years and running, within the injection molding arena.
